So, with that in mind, I decided to try my hand at designing a wedding invitation suite in robin’s egg blue (light teal blue) and white that combines my style with the famous jewelry brand. I think that most brides that have requested the famous shade of aqua blue have wanted to use it as a whole wedding theme paired with white satin ribbons, and lots of sparkly bling to make everyone think of the high-end jewelry retailer. I’ve seen some lovely wedding photos that pair turquoise with purple, fuchsia, and lime green to name a few.Īnd of course turquoise blue will always work well for a tropical destination wedding because it also coordinates so well with sand and tan colors. Many other colors also work with this shade of turquoise or teal blue. It’s also versatile enough to use throughout the whole year, paired with white or yellow for spring or summer weddings, or with gray, orange, or black for fall and winter weddings. It is such a pretty color that it is understandable why people want to use it as their wedding color. and therefore protected from being copied. What most people don’t realize is that the shade of Robin’s egg blue that is recognizable the world over is actually trademarked by Tiffany & Co. Over the 9+ years that I’ve been designing wedding invitations and special occasion stationery suites, I have received numerous requests to make a color change to a certain shade of turquoise that is used on a famous blue jewelry box. In this winter fantasy wedding invitation suite, I also designed a save our date card, a response card, two different mailing labels, and a folded thank you card.Īll the pieces contain the winter elements and main design features of the raven and crow.

The wording uses gray and red lettering and can be changed to say whatever you want it to. The back of the winter fantasy wedding invitation shows a nighttime winter scene, complete with snow-covered mountains and several more flying crows. There are large gray-blue snowflakes to lend a frosty feel to everything. The watercolors design has a foggy and snowy winter forest scene with assorted trees and red berries on it, with the main design elements being the head of a raven on the right side and a messenger crow on the left side with a paper scroll hanging from its beak, presumably to announce the upcoming wedding, but perhaps it has a different message to relay to your guests. In past seasons it was all about “winter is coming”, but this season is all about “winter is here” so I wanted to design something that evoked that winter and icy feeling but still had elements of fantasy and Game of Thrones.įor the wedding invitation, I thought a nice play on words from “Winter is Coming” to “A Wedding is Coming” in the GoT font would be a great starting point.

Inspired by its popularity and the final season, I decided to dedicate a new wedding invitation suite to anyone wanting to have a winter fantasy type wedding or Game of Thrones theme wedding.ĭue to copyright laws, designing anything that uses trademarked elements from the show is not allowed, plus I wanted something a little more subtle that wasn’t too over-the-top GoT. I know there are a LOT of die-hard fans of the show. I really will hate to see it come to an end. We’ve had a long, hard wait for this final season so I plan on enjoying every minute of it.
